New Car Registrations - Who came out on top this January?


The Society of Motor Manufacturing and Traders (SMMT) has announced the best-selling car in Britain in January 2018 continues to be the Ford Fiesta with 8,335 registrations. According to recent data released by the SMMT there were 163,615 vehicle registrations in total in January 2018.

In second place was the Volkswagen Golf with over 4000 registrations less than the Ford Fiesta and not far behind in third was another Ford this time the Focus with 4,105 registrations.

3. Ford Focus - 4,105 registrations
4. Nissan Qashqai - 3,851 registrations
5. Vauxhall Mokka X - 3,767 registrations
6. Mercedes A-Class - 3,358 registrations
7. Kia Sportage - 2,622 registrations
8. Vauxhall Corsa - 2,587 registrations
9. Ford Kuga - 2,580 registrations
10. Mercedes C-Class - 2,478 registrations
